Forcing yourself not to grieve is far more exhausting than grieving.

It is also a lie.

Don’t do it. You WILL feel forced to at times. You will feel forced to conform, to hide, to run away from yourself as a means to appease others.

This is a dangerous road and you will only hurt yourself in the process. Don’t waste your time denying your very essence.

Pain, adversity, and trial are part of that essence, for everyone.

Resist the urge to bury it. Let it rise and caress it instead.

It might not make you feel better.

But you will be more authentic.
